Specifically designed to manage deer populations and primarily utilized within the forestry and re-wilding sectors. To provide adequate protection against species such as Red, Sika or Fallow Deer, fences must stand at a minimum of 1.85 meters (6ft) to be effective, though a height of 2 meters (6 1/2ft) is considered more practical. Fences targeting Roe deer populations must stand at a minimum of 1.5 meters (approx 5ft) to be in accordance with certain regulations, though at this height the risk of breaches increase and a fence height of 1.85 meters (6 ft) is recommended. Regardless of species type, deer fences are constructed using post and wire netting (Xfence or similar) and will feature plain high tensile top wires.
